I am a curator

The way paintings that I would put in my personal space are from Picasso and Van Gogh. Picasso's Three Musicians, Van Gogh's Starry Night.


I would "place" Starry Night (left) in the living room (or the front room of my house). Since our living room has a fireplace, it is a perfect place to place Starry Night. Starry Night will give the room a sense of peace when you walk in. Because we use the living room only when guests are present for tea or to have conversations. The painting would work when the fireplace is lit on a cold night. The painting would give the room a feeling of a cold and starry night. This painting is very eye catching so once you walk in this is the first thing you'll see and goes well with our room because it is pretty much a "dark" room. And we usually use it at night.


Continuing the Van Gogh theme, I would also place Café Terrace at Night by Van Gogh in the living room. This would be a great compliment to Starry Night. These two paintings could go hand in hand with another. They look similar to one another. Both have a night scene with stars brightly shining. I think this will give our guest a feeling like they are actually at a Cafe while having tea and biscuits.











Moving from the living room to the family room in the back of my house, I would place Picasso's Three Musicians.

I would place this painting centered above our piano. The brown shades of this painting would compliment our piano, which is also brown. This painting is perfect in our family room because we have sort of a brown theme in that room. The walls have a tan shade, our furniture is brownish, and our floors are brown wood.

One final painting i would place in MY room is from Mark Jenkins called Champions of Europe. This is one of my favorite paintings. It is not know world wide or anything, but it's a personal favorite.


I am a huge Liverpool FC fan, and when they won the Champions League in 2005, it was an amazing sight. I have a couple of Liverpool posters in my room so this would fit perfectly in the room. I would place this painting above my TV so when I am watching a Liverpool game, I can marvel at the success they have had.
